When
you bring your pet, we will ask you to complete a form with your contact details, details of your pet and any special requirements
your pet has along with a copy of our terms of boarding, as stated here, which you are required to sign to show you agree
to them.
Payment
We do not
ask for a deposit, but payment must be made in full on the day your pet arrives and should be made by either cash or cheque.
Collection/delivery
If you would like us to collect and/or drop off your pet,
please let us know when you book. We are very keen to give you the best service possible and so offer this service free of
charge within 5 miles of Driffield, for a small charge of £2.50 between 6 and 10 miles of Driffield, and for £5 between 11
and 20 miles of Driffield.
Refusals
We reserve
the right to turn away any guests which we believe are not in good health as they are best kept at home in their usual environment
if recovering from illness. This is also to protect our other guests from any illnesses which could be contagious.
Vaccinations
We only accept Rabbits which have been vaccinated against VHD and
Myxomatosis. They need to be vaccinated against VHD once a year and against Myxomatosis every 6 months. Please bring with
you your Rabbits vaccination certificate when you drop your pet off to us. Your Rabbit will need to have their vaccination
at least 2 weeks before they come to stay to ensure they have full immunity to the diseases before they come for their holiday.
At present
there are no vaccinations required for Guinea pigs or other small pets.
Illness
In the unlikely event that your pet should show any signs of illness
we will contact you on your emergency contact number to discuss the situation and transport them to either your vet if local,
or our vet for treatment. If their illness is from a newly acquired condition during their stay with us the vets fees will
be paid by ourselves. However, any veterinary fees incurred for treatment of a pre existing illness/condition will be payable
by yourself on your return/collection of your pet as our insurance does not cover vet fees for pre existing conditions.
None collection of a pet
Should you be unable to collect your pet at the time and
date agreed when booking, please let us know as soon as possible and re arrange a new collection date.
Should you
neglect to inform us that you will be unable to collect your pet on the agreed day and we are unable to contact you, after
28 days we reserve the right to re-home your pet.
Therefore it is extremely important that you contact us
as soon as possible if you think you will not be able to collect your pet on the agreed day. Obviously we try to be as understanding
as possible in such circumstances.
Licensing of Boarding establishments
At present there are no licensing requirements
for the boarding of Rabbits and small pets, therefore it is your responsibility to establish for yourself that a boarding
facility is suitable for your pet prior to booking them in for their holiday.
